Arduino 5v Relay Schematic. An ac bulb is used for demonstration. Since the arduino operates at 5v it can t control these higher voltage devices directly but you can use a 5v relay to switch the 120 240v current and use the arduino to control the relay.

On the other side of the circuit the arduino is a 5v device and can interact with 5v and 3 3v sensors and digital equipment. As mentioned earlier by interfacing arduino with 5v relay module we intend to operate an ac load like lamp. A relay is an electrically operated switch that can be turned on or off letting the current go through or not and can be controlled with low voltages like the 5v provided by the arduino pins.
Let us discuss the working of the project.
The 12v adaptor is used for powering the circuit. In this arduino relay control circuit we have used arduino to control the relay via a bc547 transistor. Three on one side and three on other side on the bottom side there are three pins which are signal 5v and ground. An ac bulb is used for demonstration.
