It can be constructed from a pair of cross coupled nor or nand logic gates. Consequently the circuit behaves as though s and r were both 0 latching the q and not q outputs in their last states. The enable input must be active for the set and reset inputs to be effective the enable input of gated sr latch enables the operation of the set and reset inputs this enable input connects with a switch. Sr latch using nor gates the sr latch constructed using two cross coupled nor gates is shown in fig 1.
